Lucky number seven! Injured MS Dhoni gets special pick-me-up

India limited overs skipper MS Dhoni injured his eye while batting against Zimbabwe in the third and final T20I and got a special picker-upper on Friday morning to cheer him up

India limited overs skipper MS Dhoni is a relieved man. After all, the young boys he was leading managed to win both the one-day and T20 international series against Zimbabwe.
India crushed Zimbabwe in the three-match ODI series. The Men in Blue registered win by 9, 10 and 8 wickets respectively to win the series.

But Zimbabwe challenged them in the T20Is, first stunning India in the first one and then almost winning the series in the last one.

Dhoni was clearly not a happy camper to be so close to defeat at the hands of the minnows.
Questions were also raised about Dhoni's form when he failed to finish the game in the first T20 international. India required four runs of the last ball, but Dhoni couldn't do the needful.
What added salt to his injury was an injury. He injured his eye.

The 34-year-old got injured while batting when a dislodged bail went through his helmet and hit him. He had keep wickets with blurred vision.

The incident happened when Dhoni turned around to look at the ball after being bowled by Donald Tiripano in the 17th over.

Dhoni later shared a picture of his injured eye on a social media platform.
Interestingly, South African wicketkeeper Mark Boucher had been forced to retire from cricket after a similar incident caused irreparable vision loss in his left eye.

To perk Dhoni up and also celebrate the win over the Zimbabweans, Dhoni got a special gift on Friday morning.

What you might wonder? Dhoni was served a special coffee with his lucky number 7 emblazoned on it.
