After dishing out two super hits – Bachna Ae Haseeno and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor are back with yet another enchanting love story with Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha.
While Imtiaz has given hits with Ranbir and Deepika separately in the past, this interesting combo of Ranbir,Deepika and Imtiaz is bound to get fans super excited. And AR Rahman’s music is just like a icing on the cake. Well, the first song of Tamasha called Matargashti is out and it promises to be super fun. Sung by Mohit Chauhan, who was voice of Ranbir in Rockstar, Matargashti is pure Rahman bliss as the double Oscar winner spins magic with his tunes.
Matargashti is a peppy, feel good song which has elements of love song, western folk and calypso beats in it. Apart from AR Rahman-Mohit Chauhan’s ear pleasing rendition, the infectious chemistry between Ranbir and Deepika stands out. While Deepika stuns us with her pelvic thrusts in the end, Matargashti is all about Ranbir’s cheeky, crazy avatar. From breaking into a dance in middle of a street to mimicking Dev Anand, Ranbir Kapoor shines like a gem in the song. The beautiful locales of Corsica has been wonderfully captured in the song.
